Global Disaster Response Informational Sessions

The informational sessions will provide you with information on who we are, what we do to serve those affected by disasters, as well as the process in order to become a member of this team. Additionally, we recommend that you attend an Introduction to International Personal Health, Safety & Security (IHSS) session that will aid you in best practices for safety during deployment and personal travel.

The info sessions will be offered twice per month, one of which will be in conjunction with an IHSS training. You must RSVP separately to each, and the link to RSVP to the IHSS sessions is provided below. Each session will be held in Conference Room 7260 at 125 Nashua Street, 7th Floor.

Tuesday, February 6th
            GDR: 11:00 – 12:00
            IHSS: 12:00 – 1:30 (RSVP here)

Wednesday, February 28th
            GDR: 10:00 – 11:00

Tuesday, March 6th
            GDR: 11:00 – 12:00
            IHSS: 12:00 – 1:30 (RSVP here)

Thursday, March 22nd
            GDR: 9:00 – 10:00

Tuesday, April 3rd
            GDR: 11:00 – 12:00

Trauma and Surgical Deployment Unit

Massachusetts General Hospital has partnered with the International Medical Corps to staff a trauma and surgical deployment unit. Interested trauma and surgery clinicians and support staff should contact Global Disaster Response to inquire about eligibility.
